HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?
This is the number one question we get asked. The answer isn’t that simple because each property has their own unique needs. For example, the cost of staging a vacant property will differ from staging an occupied home because the amount of inventory brought in will be different. We can work with all budgets and any investment you put into staging will greatly benefit the sale of your home.
WHY BOTHER WITH STAGING IF HOMES ARE SELLING FAST ANYWAY
In a hot market staging helps to make your home stand out amongst the competition and most likely result in multiple offers and sell over list. Every penny spent on staging will be a worthwhile investment. When the real estate market is soft and inventory is high, staging your home will again help you stand out amongst the competition and draw more buyers to your property over the “un-staged” property down the road.
WHY SHOULD I STAGE A BRAND-NEW VACANT HOME?
Staging is much more than just putting furniture in a room and adding some art and accessories. At Transcend Designs we pride ourselves on taking the time to think about the target demographic and who will most likely be interested in purchasing the home. We market it accordingly and focus on how a family will make use of each space. The whole idea of staging is to create a vibe or a feeling as soon as someone enters the space. Buyers will fall in love with how they feel in the home. This is very important!
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO STAGE MY PROPERTY?
The actual installation takes 1/2 day to a full day depending on what amount of work is involved. Every property starts with a site visit or consultation so we can assess the space, take measurements and photos to use when putting together a proposal. Once the contract is signed a date is set, we spend 1 to 2 days behind the scenes building the design. Then staging day our delivery team brings in the inventory and we install everything. It is recommended you book photography a day or two “after” staging in case of any changes or additions necessary.
I HAVE NEVER STAGED A PROPERTY BEFORE, SO HOW DO I KNOW WHAT PRICE IS FAIR?
Good question! Like any competitive market, there are lots of staging companies out there, and making an informed decision can be challenging. We personally believe in being “transparent” which is why our pricing is all up front on our website, with no hidden fees or costs. We believe that being competitive in price point is important, but we also stand behind our quality standards. Most important – you must connect with your Interior Designer/Staging Professional. Relationship is everything!
DO I GET SOME INPUT ON THE ITEMS BEING USED TO STAGE THE PROPERTY?
We won’t beat around the bush on this one. No, you won’t have a lot of input of design style or colour when hiring a professional. The whole reason you are hiring us is for our expertise, AND we want to relieve you of some of the stress that comes along with selling a property. During the consultation we welcome any questions or comments, but trust in us – and we will get your home market ready, and cash in your hand at the end of day!
DO I NEED SPECIAL INSURANCE WHEN STAGING A PROPERTY?
You do not need to purchase separate insurance however it is important that you have “content insurance” on your property, even if it is currently vacant. This will cover you from any extensive damage due to weather or theft on the items you have rented.
